The Joy Mill Award for Outstanding Contribution to Occupational Therapy

The PEIOTS Outstanding Occupational Therapist award was established in 1990 as a means to honour a Prince Edward Island Occupational Therapy society member who has made an outstanding contribution to the profession. The award is intended to heighten awareness within the profession, instill a desire to contribute to the development of both the profession and society, and to focus public attention on the scope of occupational therapy. The name of the award was changed to "The Joy Mill Award for Outstanding Contribution to Occupational Therapy" in 2014 in memory of a dear colleague who passed away in 2013.
