Who We Are

The Prince Edward Island College of Occupational Therapists is a governing body responsible for regulating the practice of occupational therapy in Prince Edward Island. It is responsible for ensuring the safe, ethical, and competent practice of occupational therapy. All occupational therapists who practice in Prince Edward Island must be registered members of the College.

The day to day operations of the College are managed by a Council. The Council is made up of six (6) members plus the Registrar. Two (2) public members are appointed by the Lieutenant Governor in Council, and four (4) members are elected by registrants who are in good standing on the General Register of the College.

Our Work

Our work involves:

  • Registering qualified occupational therapists
  • Responding fairly to practice concerns
  • Supporting and monitoring quality practice

Our Purpose

The purpose of the College is to protect the public's right to quality Occupational Therapy service in Prince Edward Island.

The College is a member of the Association of Canadian Occupational Therapy Regulatory Organizations Inc. (ACOTRO).
